Hi Everyone,
I unfortunately cannot make it this trip. Sorry for the last minute update. Everyone have a good safe trip. Hope for clear skies!
Hoping to go up Thursday afternoon. Just binos for me this time. Mike
Hi All, Well, darn ~, Yosemite has just announced that Tioga Pass will only be open with two small windows a day, “for several weeks”….I could probably make it going to the Owens Valley, but coming back is too much of an unknown…Guess I’m being personally affected by climate change…Maybe next time, or next year….Hope you all have a nice memorable “Grandview”, and don’t forget a few photos for the newsletter ** Happy trails, Robin
be there thursday
Whoa, Chris, must be a challenge to keep track of such a large number of Grandviews ! Guess Grandview is a kind of Fountain of Youth…So, my plan is to try to make my home “fire-defensible” by June 28, and then climb over the Sierra’s, on the Tioga Pass in Yosemite, to hopefully visit with ya’all one more time….Looks like it’s going to be toasty-warm…so I’ll bring lots of water for oxygen (H2O), and to stay hydrated….Hope to see you soon, Robin
I would like to leave as early as possible to come up on Thursday. Any early birds out there?
Going up Friday and leaving Sunday morning.
It’s my 44th trip since 1997!
