Outreach at Crafton Elementary School

Tonight is the outreach at Crafton Elementary School

It is scheduled for Tuesday January 31st; 5:30 to 7:00pm. We should set up between 4:30 and 5:30 pm.

We’ll have a nice Waxing Crescent Moon, Venus and Mars.

Public Outreach at Whitewater Preserve

There is an SBVAA Public Outreach star party this SaturdayJanuary 28th, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The White Water division of the Wildlands Conservancy Preserve. Setup between 5:00 and 6:30pm.

Jamie Countryman and Megan Huynh will be leading the group.
Usually the Conservancy serves snacks for the first part of the show.

Come on out for a night of fun under the stars.

January Meeting, Sat. 14th

Sombrero Galaxy - Hubble

This Saturday is the 2017 January meeting of the SBVAA.  The program will include a video presentation and continuance of the “Experiencing Hubble: Understanding the Greatest Images of the Universe” series entitled “The Sombrero Galaxy An Island Universe
Pre-meeting dinner at the PepperSteak Restaurant.

Woodrow Wilson Elem. Outreach on Dec. 8

This Thursday, December 8 is the outreach at Woodrow Willson Elementary School in Colton.  It will be from 5:30 – 7:00pm and we will have a First Quarter Moon to observe.  Setup will begin at 5:00pm.
