The weather got us again. The outreach scheduled for tonight at Mentone Elementary School has been cancelled.
Due to inclement weather, this Saturday’s star party at Pioneertown has been cancelled. We’ll try again next month.
SBVAA will be co-hosting with the San Bernardino County Museum a Cosmic Night total lunar eclipse on Sunday, January 20 at 8:00 PM. We will be offering telescopes to view the eclipse. The museum is charging $10 / adult for entry into the museum which will have other astronomy activities.

Join us for our annual, year-end, holiday get-together on Saturday, December 1 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Shakey’s in Redlands. Pizza, potatoes and chicken will be provided by the club; salads and beverages are self-purchased. There will be a Secret Santa gift exchange starting at 3:45 pm. Bring a wrapped gift between $15-$25 for the exchange if you wish to participate.

“Building and Restoring Scopes” will be the November meeting’s program presented by our president Jamie Countryman. The November is on Saturday the 3rd, 7:00pm at the First Christian Church in San Bernardino.
The weather is going to be most foul at Oak Glen on Saturday evening, with clouds, rain and temps below 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service forecast, so it’s been decided to cancel the outreach at Oak Glen.

The October club meeting is this Saturday, 7:00 pm at the First Christian Church, San Bernardino. The video presentation will be on Megaflares from the How the Universe Works series.
