Whitewater Preserve is 2,851 acres surrounded by the Bureau of Land Management’s San Gorgonio Wilderness, and includes the year-round Whitewater River. The club has partnered with the Wildlands Conservancy to provide outreaches and star parties at the preserve.  The preserve is about 5 miles north from the Whitewater turnoff on I-10.  Although not as remote as other locations, it is well away from most light sources and gives nice skies especially for outreaches.
