No Regular July Meeting

Sizzler Salad Bar

Long days / short nights.  Summer vacations.  The club does not have a regular meeting scheduled for July.  Instead, we will meet at Sizzler in San Bernardino for a summer social gathering.  Come join us for dinner.

Grandview this Weekend

Grandview Skies

This is the first of our two planned weekend trips to Grandview for dark skies observing.  For those going up to Big Pine, CA, we will be at the Noren site in the Cedar Flats campground.  The high’s for Bishop are expected to be in the 90°F with low’s in the 50°F but expect lower night temperatures in the mountains.

No Regular June Meeting

In lieu of our regular Club Meeting we will be doing an Outreach.  The outreach is scheduled for Saturday, June 2nd from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the East Valley Water District in Highland, CASee the event page for details

Gravitational Lens

This Saturday is SBVAA’s May meeting beginning at usual at 7:00 pm or thereabouts. The night’s program is “Gravitational Lensing With Hubble” from How The Universe Works series.

This Saturday, April 7, is the next scheduled monthly meeting for SBVAA.  As usual, it is held at the First Christian Church, San Bernardino at 7:00 pm.  The pre-meeting dinner is at 5:00 pm at Jenny’s Diner in Highland.  The topic for the meeting is Comets from the Universe series.
