With the recent closure of the Highland Coco’s Restaurant (and others), the pre-meeting dinner restaurant has been changed to Denny’s in Highland on the corner of Highland Ave and Valencia Ave.  This will take effect the next meeting, April 25th.

The transit of Venus occurred on on June 5, 2012. SBVAA held a small “unofficial” party at Richard Rollins Park in Grand Terrance. The next transit will not occur until 2117.

2009 was the International Year of Astronomy designated to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Galileo’s use of the telescope to study the skies.
